Bericht vom 60. Blauen Band

Am Samstag den 22. Juni 2024 hatte der Segler-Verein Wakenitz zum 60. Mal zur Regatta um das Blaue Band vom Ratzeburger See eingeladen.

Mit dem Blauen Band wird das Boot geehrt, das die Strecke SVW – Buchholz – Ratzeburg – SVW am schnellsten Boote absegelt.

Obwohl sich das Wetter besserte, aber der Wind mit 3-4, Böen bis 6, aus SW – W, sehr anspruchsvoll war, gingen leider nur 37 Boote aller Klassen an den Start. Die Zeiten mit bis zu Hundert Teilnehmern sind leider vorbei.

Um 12.00 Uhr wurde gestartet.

Um 01.15 Uhr ging das erste Boot und Gewinner des Blauen Bands, die 20qm Rennjolle Z 336, SVW, durchs Ziel. Bis etwa 01.20 Uhr folgten vier weitere Boote des SVW, Z 224, Z 191, FD und Z 113.

Am Abend nach der Preisverteilung und Ehrung des Siegers des Blauen Band begann die Sonnenwendfeier.

Unter reger Beteiligung aus allen Vereinen gab es wieder leckere Speisen vom Grill und aus der Pfanne.

Getränke standen reichlich zur Verfügung und es wurde das Sonnenwendefeuer entfacht.

Wir hoffen, dass wir im nächsten Jahr wieder etwas mehr Boote aufs Wasser bekommen.

Zum Abschluss einen Dank an die Regattaleitung, den Motorbootfahrern und den vielen Helfern hinter den Tresen.
